രാഷ്ട്രീയ സാംസ്കാരിക സാമൂഹ്യ രംഗത്തും തന്റേതായ വ്യക്തിമുന്ദ്രപതിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് ശ്രീ ജോസ് കിഴക്കേക്കര .വിയന്ന മലയാളീ അസോസിയേഷന്റെ സ്ഥാപക പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആയിരുന്നു ഇദ്ദേഹം ..കാലങ്ങളായുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സേവനങ്ങളെ മുൻനിർത്തി സംഘടനാ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഓണാഘോഷവേളയിൽ ആദരിച്ചു മാതൃകയായിട്ടുണ്ട് …ആദ്യകാല കുടിയേറ്റത്തിൽ വിയന്നയിലേക്കു വന്നു ഒരുപാടു മലയാളികളെ തുടർന്നു മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുവാൻ വഴികാട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട് ശ്രീ ജോസ് കിഴക്കേക്കര … താഴ്ച്ചയിലും ,ഉയർച്ചയിലും തനിക്കു കൂട്ടായി നിൽക്കുന്ന ഭാര്യ തെരേസ ആണ് തൻറെ വിജയങ്ങളുടെയെല്ലാം പങ്കാളി എന്ന് ജോസ് ഉറച്ചു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു .നിർമലാ കോളേജിലെ അദ്ധ്യാപികയായിരുന്നു ശ്രീമതി തെരേസാ കിഴക്കേക്കര ജോസിനെ പങ്കാളിയായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ . ഉത്തമ കുടുംബനാഥനായും ഇദ്ദേഹം മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് മാതൃകയാണ് … പതിമൂന്നു സഹോദരങ്ങളുള്ള വലിയ ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ വഴികാട്ടിയാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം . യൂറോപ്പിൽ തന്നെ ബൃഹത്തായ ഒരു സുഹൃത്ബന്ധം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുവാൻ ജോസിന് സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് .
സ്വിട്സർലാൻഡിൽ കുടുംബസമേതം താമസിക്കുന്ന ബാങ്ക് ജീവനക്കാരി ടെസ്സി റിങ്കു കുര്യൻ ,വിയന്നയിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന യു എൻ ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥിയും ,സ്പോർട്സ് രംഗത്ത് വളരെയധികം സജീവവും നിരവധി ട്രോഫികൾ കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള ടെജോയും,വിയന്നയിൽ മെഡിക്കൽ ഓഫീസർ ആയി ജോലി ചെയുന്ന സജോയും ആണ് ജോസ്-തെരേസാ ദമ്പതികളുടെ ദാമ്പത്യവല്ലരിയിൽ വിരിഞ്ഞ പുഷ്പ്പങ്ങൾ . ബാസലിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന തോമസ് കിഴക്കേക്കര ,വിയന്നയിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന മാത്യു ,പോളി എന്നിവരുടെ സഹോദരനുമാണ് ശ്രീ ജോസ് കിഴക്കേക്കര. മറ്റു സഹോദരി സഹോദരങ്ങൾ അമേരിക്കയിലും ഇന്ത്യയിലുമായി ജോലിചെയ്യുന്നു .
വിയന്ന ജീവിതത്തിലും ഇപ്പോൾ നാട്ടിൽ തുടർന്നുള്ള കാലയളവിലും നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ആണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തേടിയെത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത് ..കേരളത്തിൽ വിശ്രമ ജീവിതം നയിക്കുന്ന ഈ വേളയിലും താൻ ആർജിച്ച വിദ്യ മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് പകർന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നതിൽ അദ്ദേഹം വളരെ തല്പരനാണ് .
പല കോളേജുകളിലും സ്കൂളുകളിലും ക്ലബ്ബുകളിലും എല്ലാം പരിശീലന പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൾക്കായി അദ്ദേഹം ക്ഷണിക്കാറുണ്ട് .

He has two offers as Professor and Hod and one offer as Principal but since his wife cannot stay in Austria for a whole year due to health problems and climatic change, he won’t be accepting the offer. But he may work with Vienna Univeristy for one or 2 years
